We’re a very small bakery making everything by hand, and I’m committed to paying my staff a living wage and sourcing organically grown grains from local farmers. These choices mean higher costs, but the flavor and support for our regional food system make it worth it.
I stick with cellophane bags instead of boxes to reduce waste. At home, I usually transfer them to a reusable container (e.g. zip loc). Shipping costs are based on what I’m charged, plus a small fee for packaging and delivery to the post office.
Since I’m out of the office for a couple of days, I removed inventory from the site to avoid shipping delays. I will reload everything on Monday when I return!
